This allows you to receive spin measurements within 1% of the accuracy of high-priced launch monitors.

Yes, the Rapsodo MLM2Pro can be used outside. It is designed for bothindoor and outdoor use, utilizingDoppler radarandhigh-speed camerasto track ball flight and provide accurate metrics in various environments. When used outdoors, the MLM2Pro works effectively on the driving range, capturing data likeball speed, carry distance, launch angle, and more, without the need for additional equipment like nets.
A little more than 14 total feet is needed. First, 8 feet is needed from ball to the net. Then, the MLM2PRO™ requires another 6.5-8.5 feet behind the ball. Taller players may need to place the device further back to capture their entire swing video.
Elevation affects distances, trajectory and descent angle
The higher the elevation, the less dense the air is. Because of this, there is less drag force on the ball (resistance) allowing it to maintain speed during flight, resulting in greater distance.
General rule of thumb is every 1500 ft of increased elevation = ball will travel 3-5% further
A range ball vs premium ball will also affect your data. A range ball will fly shorter, generate less spin, and not produce as much ball speed as a premium golf ball.
Within the MLM2PRO™ App, you can adjust your settings to account for elevation and ball type to ensure your data is as accurate as possible.

This our first launch monitor. We set it up in the garage with a net and it works great. Seems to be accurate and my sons have been playing a couple hrs per day. We are thinking about adding a screen and a projector. A few connection issues and it drains the battery on my phone. Hoping it isn't difficult to hook up to a computer and projector so we can keep it connected permanently

Product is really well made. The quality is there. It is my first time using this particular brand and model (carls hot shot) so I figured the quality was going to be good! 2 issues that I will report back on but did not see many people talk about-
1- it is super thick and pretty squishy. It feels like standing on a trampoline. Not bad or good, but you will need to prepare for that, but you get used to it fast.
2- the hitting strip is super grabby. I am saying this after only hitting on it for 2 days so maybe it will start to give a bit. I think it will. But right out of the box it is very touchy.
In the end, it looks excellent, and feels like a quality product. I think once I put some miles on it it will be a top product!
